"Benefit" Road Concentric --- The First Station of Red Cross AED City in Anhui Province (Huaibei Station) and the Starting Ceremony of 1000 Ambulance Training were held in Sui and Tang Canal Ancient Towns

AED, also known as automatic external defibrillator, is a portable on-site emergency equipment for rescuing sudden cardiac death patients. In order to carry out General Secretary Xi Jinping's health concept of "people-centered, health-centered" and act as the assistant of the Party and the government in the field of humanity, the Anhui Red Cross Society, adhering to the spirit of "humanity, fraternity and dedication", has deepened the training of emergency rescue of the Red Cross into the grass-roots level and popularized the skills of self-rescue and mutual rescue of citizens. Therefore, under the advocacy of the public welfare concept of the Red Cross Society, the application of automatic external defibrillator (AED) in densely populated urban areas (government agencies, Shangchao, subway, station, airport, etc.) has become an important measure to improve citizens'awareness of first aid, reduce the frequency of sudden cardiac death, and protect citizens' lives and safety.

At about 10 a.m. on September 5, the "Yilu" Road Concentric Launching Ceremony of the First Arrangement Station of AED City of Anhui Red Cross Society (Huaibei Station) and the Training of 1000 Ambulances was held at the Plaza of the Ancient Town of Sui and Tang Canals. Sun Qiyun, a member of the provincial Red Cross Party and full-time vice president, Chen Ying, vice mayor of the municipal government, and Cheng Ronghua, deputy secretary-general of the municipal government, attended the launching ceremony.

As the first listed rescue station in Huaibei City, the Red Cross Emergency Rescue Team was stationed in the Sui and Tang Canal Ancient Towns in August 2018.
